Join School of Social Ecology Dean Nancy Guerra and Richard Matthew as they discuss compassion fatigue during the pandemic. The discussion will center on how to stay happy when overloaded with sadness about people losing jobs, homes and businesses. What can be done? There is an enormous challenge facing doctors, nurses and others on the frontlines of health care. What can they do? As for inequality and the coronavirus, could compassion contract and hostility toward others grow?

Parkside Chats is a series of webinars highlighting the School of Social Ecology’s experts on the social, environmental and mental health effects of the pandemic. During each webinar, the audience will view a discussion between Dean Guerra and a faculty expert. You will have a chance to ask questions and the professors will answer during the live webinar.

The zoom webinar link will be emailed to those who register.
