In his recent edited volume, the Routledge Handbook on Environmental Security, Blum Center Director Richard Matthew contributed to a chapter titled “Climate Change, Public Health, and the Conflict Cycle” along with co-authors James Orbinski, Evgenia Nizkorodov, and Sifat Reazi.

Academic research and years of field experience informed the authors’ discussion of the links between climate change, conflict cycles, and the impact these have–both separately and together–on human health.

The abstract and full chapter are available online here.
