The new article, titled “Shifting attributions for poverty motivates opposition to inequality and enhances egalitarianism,” highlights how short, easy interventions can make people more compassionate toward those in need. Something as simple as thinking about situational causes of poverty or playing a 10-minute game where you take the perspective of someone who is working in a low-wage job can make people view the world differently.
