Inaugural cohort of undergraduates engages in service abroad
July 2017

This summer, 20 UC Irvine undergraduate students are participating in service with partners in Peru, Thailand, and Ghana through the new Global Service Scholars program. Representing a diverse group of backgrounds and interests, this year’s cohort includes students from across the UC Irvine campus.

While abroad, the students are blogging and reflecting on their experiences. Read their accounts HERE, and view profiles of this year’s participants HERE.

A partnership with the UC Irvine School of Social Ecology and the Living Peace Foundation, the Global Service Scholars program offers students the opportunity to work in the field directly with established local organizations. Learn more about the program HERE.
