Bringing together the expertise of engineers and local communities, the Flood Resilient and Sustainable Environments (FloodRISE) project aims to provide accurate and useful data that can inform decisions in regard to changing flood risks.

The FloodRISE team collected detailed site data for Southern California’s two largest estuaries, the Newport Beach and Tijuana River estuaries, and created online hazard viewers using input from each community to help leaders and residents manage flood risk.

Explore each interactive flood hazard map by visiting the FloodRISE website.
